The new iMATE PocketPC Phone Edition is the coolest thing I've come across in a long time. Granted they aren't intended for bargain shoppers, but neither are Lamborghinis.

Dwayne Lamb was fortunate enough to get a hold of a T-Mobile PPC Phone Edition device and play with it for a couple of weeks affording him the opportunity to contemplate what this means for developers. Dwayne has put together a great review highlighting the impact of the Pocket PC Phone Edition - for those techie folk out there that want to make their boss a believer - pass along this URL! "I have spoken with PPC enthusiasts at user group meetings and at trade shows like the PPC Summit and I have been surprised by the lack of enthusiasm..."

Just before my trip to the MS Mobility Developers Conference last month I read Steve's article entitled
One Piece or Two? I recall thinking that there was no doubt in my mind that I was a one piece guy - not that I would be able to test that theory any time soon - or so I thought! Wrong - just before the conference I received an email from Steve asking whether I would be interested in using the O2
XDA Pocket PC Phone Edition at the conference. Needless to say my response was enthuisiastic, blackmail and extortion were not required.
